The Origin Story
It all started in my closet.
Every morning I’d grab a pair of jeans and second-guess myself — black or navy, I could never tell in the dim light. I’d end up walking over to the window just to check, and more often than not I’d give up and just wear whatever I was already holding.
Then my son was born, and mornings weren’t the problem anymore — the middle of the night was. Feedings, diaper changes, all of it happening in the dark. I’d have him balanced on one arm and the other hand out, feeling my way along the wall, trying not to trip over anything left on the floor. Turning on the overhead light wasn’t an option — that would wake the whole house.
All I really wanted was something simple: a small light I could stick on the wall, one that came on the second I walked by and switched off once I’d passed. Nothing fancier than that.
Nothing on the market actually solved it.
Here's why regular lights weren't the answer:
